Senate Republicans see bailout deal on Sunday

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Top U.S. Senate Republicans said they were making good progress toward a massive financial bailout bill and hoped to reach an agreement on Sunday with a vote likely on Monday.

"The goal would be to announce an agreement tomorrow and to have a vote on Monday," Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Republican leader, told reporters.

I hope they finally get it right this time; I just don't trust those back-room deals. I'm am happy to see that the bureaucrats have posted the language online for all of us to see. But honestly, how many average Americans like us can read and understand that jibberish.

That's how we got into this mess in the first place; the fine print.
